40 homes for Hurricane Harvey survivors are being built through donations and volunteer labor

 

AUSTIN, Texas — Forty Victoria County families whose homes were destroyed by Hurricane Harvey will soon trade their damaged homes for brand new ones in a neighborhood built for Harvey survivors, Hope Meadows.

FEMA Awards City of North Bay Village More Than $11 Million to Bury Overhead Power Lines

FEMA Awards Deltona Nearly $1.4 Million for Hurricane Irma Expenses

ORLANDO, Fla. – FEMA has approved $1,365,392 for the State of Florida to help the City of Deltona defray the costs of debris removal for Hurricane Irma under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

FEMA Awards Orlando Nearly $2.5 Million for Hurricane Irma Expenses

Orlando, Fla. – The City of Orlando will receive a $2,487,442 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of restoring electrical service in response to Hurricane Irma.

On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA-4337-DR-FL declared for Hurricane Irma. The $2.5 million represents an additional 15 percent for the project, previously awarded at 75 percent of eligible costs.

Eight Mississippi Counties Now Eligible for Federal Disaster Assistance for Individuals and Households

JACKSON, Miss. – Individuals and households affected by severe storms, straight-line winds, flooding, landslides, and mudslides from Feb. 22 – March 29, 2019 in Clay, Humphreys, Issaquena, Lowndes, Monroe, Sharkey, Warren and Yazoo counties in Mississippi are now eligible to register for federal disaster assistance.

FEMA Awards DeBary More than $1 Million for Hurricane Irma Expenses

ORLANDO, Fla. – FEMA has approved $1,043,045 for the State of Florida to help the City of DeBary defray the costs of debris removal for Hurricane Irma under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

FEMA funds will reimburse the city for the collection, reduction, disposal and site management of debris within DeBary between Sept. 18 and Oct. 17, 2017 following the September 2017 storm. During that time period, city workers and contractors gathered and hauled away 92,481 cubic yards of vegetative debris from roads and public property for landfill disposal.

ORLANDO, Fla. – FEMA has approved $1,609,893 for the State of Florida to help Martin County defray the costs of debris removal for Hurricane Irma under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

FEMA funds will reimburse the city for the collection, reduction, disposal and site management of debris within Martin County between Sept. 18 and Oct. 17, 2017 following the September 2017 storm.
