Fact Sheet: Pender County at a Glance
Since the federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Florence, Pender County residents and local governments have been approved for approximately $133.6 million in state and federal funds.
• More than $17.6 million in state and federal grants have gone to 2,684 homeowners and renters.
• As of June 5, 1,309 flood insurance claims have been filed. An estimated $63.9 million in claims have been paid to date.
Fact Sheet: New Hanover County at a Glance
Since the federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Florence, New Hanover County residents and local governments have been approved for approximately $122.3 million in state and federal funds:
• More than $12.2 million in state and federal grants have gone to 4,456 homeowners and renters.
• As of June 5, 1,580 flood insurance claims have been filed. An estimated $32.3 million in claims have been paid to date.
Fact Sheet: Brunswick County at a Glance
Since the federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Florence, Brunswick County residents and local governments have been approved for approximately $66.5 million in state and federal funds:
• Nearly $7.4 million in state and federal grants have gone to 1,917 homeowners and renters.
• As of June 5, 1,078 flood insurance claims have been filed. An estimated $23.5 million in claims have been paid to date.
Read Your FEMA Determination Letter to the End
DES MOINES, Iowa – If you applied for FEMA assistance because of losses from severe storms and flooding from March 12 through May 16 in Louisa or Scott counties, you will receive a determination letter confirming a grant amount or stating your application for federal assistance is ‘ineligible at this time’ and provides specific information to correct the application.

Countdown: Two Weeks Until FEMA and SBA Deadline
DES MOINES, IOWA – Iowa residents in the nine disaster-designated counties —Fremont, Harrison, Louisa, Mills, Monona, Pottawattamie, Scott, Shelby and Woodbury— may be eligible for federal assistance if they were impacted by the severe storms and flooding from March 12 through May 16. State/FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Open in Yankton and Pine Ridge
PIERRE, SD – The State of South Dakota and FEMA have opened disaster recovery centers in Pine Ridge and Yankton to offer in-person support to individuals and businesses impacted by the severe winter storms and flooding from mid-March to late April 2019. FEMA Approves $1.5 Million for Onslow County
DURHAM, N.C. – Onslow County will receive more than $1.5 million in assistance to help recover from Hurricane Florence.
Funds will reimburse the county for emergency response and protective measures taken during the 2018 storm. These activities included search and rescue operations, sheltering, and equipment and commodities for an emergency command center.
