Little Rock, Ark. – Arkansans affected by the severe storms and flooding between May 21 and June 14 are advised to get proper permits when rebuilding their damaged property.

 

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas/FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will be open daily Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and closed on Sundays. The DRC in Little Rock (Pulaski County) is scheduled to close on Saturday, July 13 at 3 p.m., and the DRC in Mulberry (Crawford County) will close on Monday, July 15 at 3 p.m.

 

Oklahoma City, OK – Three FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are closing in Muskogee, Tulsa and Wagoner counties, while the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is transitioning its services from those locations to two Disaster Loan Outreach Loan Centers (DLOCs).

 

FEMA Offers Repair and Rebuilding Advice on Building Back Stronger

 

Oklahoma City, OK – As Oklahomans rebuild and repair homes and businesses damaged by the recent storms and flooding, FEMA and Lowe’s have teamed up to provide free information, tips and literature on how to make homes stronger and safer during the rebuilding process.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – More than $100 million in State of Alaska and federal disaster assistance is helping fuel the recovery of residents and businesses that suffered damage from the Nov. 30 Alaska earthquake.

Following is a summary of key federal disaster aid programs that can be made available as needed and warranted under President Donald J. Trump's emergency disaster declaration issued for the state of Louisiana.

Assistance for State and Affected Local Governments Can Include as Required:

WASHINGTON – FEMA announced that federal aid has been made available to the state of Louisiana to supplement state and local response efforts in the areas affected by Tropical Storm Barry on July 10, 2019, and continuing.

The President's action authorizes FEMA to provide appropriate assistance for required emergency measures, authorized under Title V of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, to save lives, to protect property, public health and safety and to lessen or avert the threat of a catastrophe in the designated areas.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – FEMA outreach teams will begin canvassing Missouri communities affected by the flooding and severe weather in the 20 counties included in this week’s federal disaster declaration to help impacted Missourians register for federal disaster assistance.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Nearly two years after historic Hurricane Irma made landfall, carving a destructive path from the Keys to the Georgia state line, federal funding for response and infrastructure repair projects in Florida has topped $1 billion.

In total, the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Public Assistance (PA) program has funded more than $1.02 billion in grants to state and local governments and certain non-profits – including houses of worship – recovering from the 2017 hurricane:

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $3,264,330 to the state of Florida to assist Christ Church of Panama City to replace its destroyed facility, facility contents and equipment following Hurricane Michael in October 2018 under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

 

U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS – Houses of worship play a major role in disaster preparedness, response and recovery. The faith-based community across the Virgin Islands is partnering with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Virgin Islands Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) and the Long-Term Recovery Groups (LTRG) to build a more resilient territory.

Oklahoma City, OK – Six more state/federal Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are opening in the following Oklahoma communities: Cherokee (Alfalfa County), Kingfisher (Kingfisher County), Moffett (Sequoyah County), Bartlesville (Washington County), Vinita (Craig County) and Perry (Noble County).

WASHINGTON – Gulf Coast residents need to prepare for Tropical Storm Barry which formed today, Thursday, July 11, over the northern Gulf of Mexico.

Given unprecedented magnitude of natural disasters over the past two years and the current projected path of the storm, a hurricane making landfall is likely to impact communities still working to recover from a previous event. As such, even smaller and less severe storms could have a more significant impact.

Now is the Time to Prepare

Kansas City, MO. – Homeowners and renters in Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Holt, and Platte counties who were affected by flooding that began as early as March and may still be continuing are encouraged to apply for federal disaster assistance to help jump start their recovery.

AUSTIN, Texas – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded more than $6.2 million to the City of Houston for the repair and replacement of several city vehicles, fire department vehicles and equipment following Hurricane Harvey.

 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Missourians in 20 counties impacted by the flooding and severe weather beginning on April 29 and continuing are immediately eligible to apply for federal disaster assistance to help jump start their recovery. It’s as easy as a 20-minute phone call or a click online.

President Donald J. Trump made the federal assistance available Tuesday when he approved a Major Disaster Declaration request from the state of Missouri to help with costs associated with flooding, tornadoes and severe storms.

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Alaska residents are working hard on their recovery from the Nov. 30 earthquake. While the application period has ended, if you have an application on file, you can get questions answered, submit appeal letters and request extensions to submit documents. Orlando, Fla. – FEMA has approved $28,308,500 for the State of Florida to help Polk County defray the costs of debris removal for Hurricane Irma under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.
