BUILDING ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • DRILL: "May I have your attention please.  An emergency condition exists in the building.  STAY IN YOUR CURRENT LOCATION.  Do not move through the building until further notice."

  • ACTUAL ACTIVE SHOOTER EVENT: May I have your attention please.  This is the United States Marshal's Service.  SHELTER IN PLACE.  A law enforcement emergency condition exists.  SHELTER IN PLACE. 

SHELTERING IN PLACE

  • Lock all doors that lead to a public area, if possible

  • Proceed IMMEDIATELY to the closest shelter in place location and lock the door (include any members of the public)

  • Remain quiet until law enforcement indicates it is safe to leave the shelter in place location
