Earthquake Survivors Can Now Register for Federal Assistance

CAGUAS, Puerto Rico – With President Donald J. Trump’s approval of a Major Disaster Declaration on Jan. 16, 2020, homeowners and renters in six designated municipalities may now apply for Individual Assistance from FEMA for losses resulting from the earthquakes beginning Dec. 28, 2019 and continuing.

FEMA Updates Maricopa County, Phoenix, and Scottsdale Flood Maps

South Dakota Disaster Recovery Centers to Close, But Help Still Available

SIOUX FALLS, SD— All of the remaining Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in South Dakota are scheduled to permanently close at the end of this week. The deadline for registration is January 31, 2020.

The centers in Alexandria, Mitchell and Madison will close Friday, Jan. 17 at 6 p.m.

The center in Plankinton will close Saturday, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m.

Since the DRCs have opened, specialists have met with more than 1,100 residents to assist with registrations and resolve issues.

FEMA Issues Public Notice
