The work being done on the Camp Fire recovery is enormous. It is also very complicated since devastation on this scale has never before happened in the State of California. These complications, in turn, create misconceptions that are sometimes spread via social and news media making it difficult to separate myth from fact. In an effort to set the record straight and minimize survivors’ confusion and frustration, FEMA is issuing this weekly report to address the most prominent falsehoods.

AUSTIN, Texas — Planning for hurricane season means planning for all members of your family, including those who can’t plan for themselves. Don’t put yourself in a bad situation by forgetting to prepare for your pets’ needs.

DURHAM, N.C. – Onslow County will receive more than $1.5 million in assistance to help recover from Hurricane Florence.

Funds will reimburse the county for emergency response and protective measures taken during the 2018 storm. These activities included search and rescue operations, sheltering, and equipment and commodities for an emergency command center.
