FEMA Extends Registration Deadline

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State of Ohio have announced that FEMA is extending the registration period for survivors of the Memorial Day weekend storms to give you extra time to apply for disaster grants. The new registration deadline is September 3.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) also is extending its registration deadline to September 3 to give you an opportunity to apply for low-interest disaster loans to repair your home or business if you have been referred by FEMA.

Six More Missouri Counties Now Eligible for Federal Disaster Assistance

FEMA Awards $2M in Public Assistance Grants

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $2,068,350 to the State of Florida to assist 19 eligible applicants with reimbursement for eligible costs of debris removal, emergency protective measures, management costs and permanent repairs for Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

FEMA Rental Assistance and Direct Housing Program Available Through September 20

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico Survivors in Puerto Rico who are currently receiving rental assistance from FEMA or are participating in the agency’s Direct Housing program have until September 20, 2019 to develop a long-term housing plan and find permanent housing. Normally, these programs are available up to 18 months after the date of the disaster declaration.

Community Recovery Centers in Puerto Rico Closed Temporarily

Understanding your FEMA Determination Letter: You Have the Right to Appeal

Trotwood Disaster Recovery Center to Close

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The State of Ohio-FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at Trotwood-Madison High School will close at the end of its regular business day on Thursday, Aug. 8.

With students scheduled to arrive for the first day of the 2019-2020 school year on Monday, Aug. 12, state and FEMA officials are consolidating the Trotwood DRC into the Dayton DRC nearby.
