JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – The FEMA disaster recovery center in Holt County will cease operations Wednesday, Aug. 14, but help is still available.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State of Ohio have announced that FEMA is extending the registration period for survivors of the Memorial Day weekend storms to give you extra time to apply for disaster grants. The new registration deadline is September 3.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) also is extending its registration deadline to September 3 to give you an opportunity to apply for low-interest disaster loans to repair your home or business if you have been referred by FEMA.

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Individuals, households, businesses and nonprofits affected by late April storms and flooding in Callaway, Jefferson, Lewis, McDonald, Newton and Saline counties are now eligible to register for federal disaster assistance.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $2,068,350 to the State of Florida to assist 19 eligible applicants with reimbursement for eligible costs of debris removal, emergency protective measures, management costs and permanent repairs for Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – Survivors in Puerto Rico who are currently receiving rental assistance from FEMA or are participating in the agency’s Direct Housing program have until September 20, 2019 to develop a long-term housing plan and find permanent housing. Normally, these programs are available up to 18 months after the date of the disaster declaration.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – ACE Hardware, Home Depot, Kmart, National Lumber and Sears have teamed with FEMA to provide residents of Puerto Rico with free information and tips on how to make homes safer and stronger from earthquakes and tsunamis.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – All Community Recovery Centers will remain closed on Monday, July 29, 2019 for administrative reasons. The centers are expected to resume their regular hours of operation on Tuesday, July 30.

Recovery specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide information on available services, explain assistance programs and help survivors complete or check the status of their applications.

Survivors who registered with Federal Emergency Management Agency for disaster assistance because of the severe storms and flooding that occurred in South Texas between June 24-25, 2019, will receive a determination letter explaining the eligibility decision and the reason for that decision. 

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The State of Ohio-FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) at Trotwood-Madison High School will close at the end of its regular business day on Thursday, Aug. 8.

With students scheduled to arrive for the first day of the 2019-2020 school year on Monday, Aug. 12, state and FEMA officials are consolidating the Trotwood DRC into the Dayton DRC nearby.
