FEMA Awards Miami-Dade County Nearly $1.3 Million To Plan For Back-up Generators For Sewer Pumping Stations
ORLANDO, Fla. – Miami-Dade County will receive a nearly $1.3 million federal grant to plan for installing back-up generators and other protective measures at 10 sewer pumping stations that will keep the system operating during a power outage or other emergency.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Did you suffer damage from the May 27-29 tornadoes, storms and flooding, but have been denied Individual Assistance by FEMA because of your insurance coverage, and it now turns out that you are insured for some but not all damages, or none at all?
You may be eligible now or later for FEMA Individual Assistance if you:
• Were denied insurance by your insurance company.
• Or your insurance claim has been settled and you can demonstrate to FEMA that your insurance didn’t cover essential needs.
FEMA Awards Monroe County More Than $2.8 Million for Hurricane Irma Expenses
Orlando, Fla. – Monroe County will receive $2,853,015.07 in grants through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of debris removal in response to Hurricane Irma.
On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA-4337-DR-FL declared for Hurricane Irma, resulting in the additional $2.8 million awards for two debris removal projects.
FEMA Reimburses Gadsden District Schools $2.7M for Hurricane Michael Expenses
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $2,704,701 to the state of Florida to assist Gadsden District Schools with reimbursement for the costs of emergency protective measures following Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.
FEMA funds will reimburse the school system for actions it took following the October 2018 storm to provide mold remediation for damage from rain and hurricane-force winds at Greensboro Elementary and Shanks Middle Schools.
FEMA Reimburses Bay County $7.2 Million for Hurricane Michael Expenses
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $7,257,858 to the state of Florida to assist Bay County with reimbursement for the costs of emergency protective measures following Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – FEMA has approved $1,673,126 to the state of Florida to assist the City of Lynn Haven with reimbursement for the costs of emergency protective measures following Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.
FEMA Reimburses Tallahassee $3.5 Million for Hurricane Michael Expenses
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — FEMA has approved $3,573,869 to the state of Florida to assist the City of Tallahassee with reimbursement for the costs of debris removal following Hurricane Michael under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.
FEMA funds will reimburse Tallahassee for the collection, reduction, disposal and site management of debris within the city following the October 2018 storm.
FEMA Awards Punta Gorda More Than $4.2 Million for Hurricane Irma Expenses
Orlando, Fla. – Punta Gorda will receive a $4,249,501.05 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of responding to Hurricane Irma.
On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA DR4337-FL declared for Hurricane Irma. The $4.2 million represents an additional 15 percent for the city-wide seawall project, previously awarded at 75 percent of eligible costs.

Orlando, Fla. – The Town of Palm Beach will receive a $2,869,116.56 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of repairing beaches damaged by Hurricane Irma.

Orlando, Fla. – Palm Beach County will receive a $3,445,312.05 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of repairing beaches damaged by Hurricane Irma.
On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA DR4337-FL declared for Hurricane Irma. The $2.8 million represents an additional 15 percent for the cost of replacing some 1.4 million cubic yards of sand at Juno Beach, previously awarded at 75 percent of eligible costs.
FEMA Awards Glades Electric Cooperative More Than $1.1 Million for Hurricane Irma Expenses
Orlando, Fla. – Glades Electric Cooperative will receive a $1,140,420.86 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of responding to Hurricane Irma.
On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA DR4337-FL declared for Hurricane Irma. The $1.1 million represents an additional 15 percent for permanent work on their electrical grid, previously awarded at 75 percent of eligible costs.

Orlando, Fla. – Clay Electric Cooperative will receive a $2,313,212.67 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of responding to Hurricane Irma.
On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA DR4337-FL declared for Hurricane Irma. The $2.3 million represents an additional 15 percent for permanent work on their electrical grid, previously awarded at 75 percent of eligible costs.
Two Years of Progress After Hurricane Irma
ORLANDO, Fla. – Two years after Hurricane Irma caused extensive damage throughout the Florida peninsula, FEMA staff in Florida and their state, local, and non-profit partners continue to help Floridians in their recovery. To date, more than $4.6 billion in federal funds have been obligated.

Orlando, Fla. – The Florida Division of Emergency Management will receive a $5,606,932.20 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of emergency protective measures while responding to Hurricane Irma.
On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA DR4337-FL declared for Hurricane Irma. The $5.6 million represents an additional 15 percent for the project, previously awarded at 75 percent of eligible costs.
FEMA Awards Jupiter Island More Than $1 Million for Hurricane Irma Expenses
Orlando, Fla. – The Town of Jupiter Island will receive a $1,027,446.60 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of rebuilding town beaches damaged by Hurricane Irma.
On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA DR4337-FL declared for Hurricane Irma. The $1 million represents an additional 15 percent for the cost of replacing 425,871 cubic yards of sand on Jupiter Island beaches, previously awarded at 75 percent of eligible costs.

Orlando, Fla. – Marion County will receive a $1,278,222.98 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of debris removal in response to Hurricane Irma.
On August 23, 2019 the President approved a cost share adjustment authorizing federal funding for Public Assistance at 90 percent of total eligible costs under FEMA DR4337-FL declared for Hurricane Irma. The $1.2 million represents an additional 10 percent for the project, previously awarded at 80 percent of eligible costs.

Orlando, Fla. – Polk County will receive a $1,232,470.74 grant through FEMA’s Public Assistance Program to help defray the costs of debris removal in response to Hurricane Irma.
