Mobile Disaster Centers Opening in Three Oklahoma Counties
Oklahoma City, OK – Three more state/federal Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) are opening in the following Oklahoma communities: Jay(Delaware County), Spiro (Le Flore County) and Alva (Wood County).
FEDERAL AID PROGRAMS FOR THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
Following is a summary of key federal disaster aid programs that can be made available as needed and warranted under President Donald J. Trump's emergency disaster declaration issued for the state of California.
One Month After Federal Disaster Declaration, South Dakotans Benefitting from Federal Assistance
PIERRE, S.D. – One month after President Donald J. Trump approved a major disaster declaration for South Dakota because of severe winter storms and flooding, federal agencies have provided nearly $1.9 million in grants and loans to assist in recovery.
In the first 30 days since the June 7 declaration, FEMA has paid out $643,091 for home repair or replacement and rental expenses and $114,664 for repair or replacement of personal property, vehicle repair or replacement, moving expenses and other disaster-related needs.

WASHINGTON – FEMA announced that federal aid has been made available to the state of California to supplement state and local response efforts in the areas affected by earthquakes beginning on July 4, 2019 and continuing.

Disaster Recovery Center Opens for Four Days in Boardman
Columbus, Ohio – A Disaster Recovery Center will open for four days in Boardman, on Friday, July 12 and Saturday July 13 as well as Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16, to help renters, homeowners and businesses in Ohio affected by the tornadoes, storms and flooding of May 27 – 29, 2019. All recovery centers are closed on Sundays.

One Week Left until July 16 Deadline
DES MOINES, Iowa – Tuesday, July 16, is the deadline for Iowa survivors of the March 12-June 15 severe storms and flooding to register for federal disaster assistance from FEMA or to apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
Registering with FEMA is easy and there are three ways to do so before the deadline:
Disaster Unemployment Assistance Extended to July 24
GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – Individuals who are still unemployed because of hurricanes Irma and María may be eligible to receive Disaster Unemployment Assistance, or DUA. This is a program managed by the Puerto Rico Department of Labor and Human Resources, or PRDOL, and funded by FEMA.
More than $22 Million Approved for Three Electric Cooperatives
DURHAM, N.C. – FEMA and the state of North Carolina are announcing more than $22 million to reimburse the Carteret-Craven, Four County and Tideland electric cooperatives for damage to their electrical systems following Hurricane Florence.
High winds, rain and flooding caused by the hurricane damaged poles, lines and transformers in multiple counties.
Additional Categories of FEMA Public Assistance Added to Arkansas Declaration
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The major disaster declaration for the State of Arkansas was amended to include additional Public Assistance (PA) Categories in areas affected by flooding and severe storms between May 21 and June 14.

ST. CROIX, U.S. Virgin Islands – Emergencies and disasters can happen at any time, often without much warning. Disaster planning and emergency preparation efforts must involve children; educating them and making them more resilient while enhancing their ability to recover faster from any type of disaster.
10 Arkansas/FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Open and Available to Survivors
Little Rock, Ark. – There are 10 Arkansas/FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers open and available to offer in-person support to individuals and businesses in counties included in the federal disaster declaration for flooding in Arkansas between May 21 and June 14.
Representatives from the State of Arkansas, FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and other organizations are at the centers to explain available assistance programs and help connect survivors with resources that best match their recovery needs.

Oklahoma City, OK – Homeowner and renter insurance policies do not cover damages incurred during flooding. To protect themselves and their family from future financial loss, Oklahomans are advised to purchase and maintain flood insurance coverage. Several requirements are in place to help ensure financial recovery after a flood.
The requirement to purchase flood insurance coverage applies to insurable buildings and personal property damaged by a flood disaster event and located in areas at high risk of flooding called Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs).
Disaster Recovery Center Opens for Three Days in Circleville
Columbus, Ohio – A Disaster Recovery Center will open Monday, July 8 through Wednesday, July 10 in Circleville to help renters, homeowners and businesses in Ohio affected by the tornadoes, storms and flooding of May 27 – 29, 2019.

Mahoning County Added to Federal Disaster Declaration for Ohio
COLUMBUS, Ohio–Homeowners, renters and businesses in Mahoning County may now apply for federal disaster assistance for uninsured and underinsured damage and losses resulting from the severe storms, tornadoes and flooding on May 27-29, 2019. Auglaize, Darke, Greene, Hocking, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Muskingum, Perry and Pickaway counties were previously designated for Individual Assistance under this declaration, bringing the total to 11 counties in Ohio.
New Hours, Openings for Oklahoma Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers
Oklahoma City, OK – Starting July 5, all Oklahoma state/federal Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) will have new hours. The mobile centers, unlike the stationary locations in Muskogee, Tulsa, Wagoner, Creek and Payne counties, open for shorter periods of time and move locations in
order to accommodate the needs of survivors. The centers will operate 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and will be closed on Sunday.
Arkansas/FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Closed on July 4th Holiday
Little Rock, Ark. – Arkansas/FEMA Disaster Recovery will be closed on Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. The centers will resume regular operations on Friday, July 5.
Individuals and business owners who suffered losses in the severe storms and flooding in Arkansas between May 21 and June 14 can visit Disaster Recovery Centers to register for federal assistance and receive in-person support for their recovery needs.
New Hours for Oklahoma Disaster Recovery Centers in Fixed Locations
Oklahoma City, OK – The joint state/federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Muskogee, Tulsa, Wagoner, Creek and Payne counties will change their hours of operation starting on Friday, July 5.
The new hours are: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and closed on Sunday.
