ORLANDO, Fla. – FEMA has approved $1,386,325 for the State of Florida to help the City of Dania Beach defray the costs of debris removal for Hurricane Irma under FEMA’s Public Assistance Program.

WASHINGTON -- The whole-of-America response to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic continues, as National Guard soldiers support response efforts throughout their communities in Maryland, New Mexico and Texas, while volunteers cheer on first-line workers at Veterans Affairs locations in Oregon.
As of May 17, FEMA, HHS and the private sector combined have coordinated the delivery of or are shipping: 83.4 million N-95 respirators, 133.7 million surgical masks, 11.5 million face shields, 24.4 million surgical gowns and 989.4 million gloves.

NASHVILLE – After registering for federal disaster assistance, it is important that FEMA be able to contact you. Be aware that phone calls from FEMA may appear to come from unidentified numbers and make sure that FEMA has your current contact information.
FEMA may need to call some survivors in Bradley and Hamilton counties to conduct a remote house inspection, via telephone, in order to be able to continue processing their application for assistance after the April 12-13 tornadoes. FEMA also may contact survivors to obtain more information for their application.
FEMA Recovery Efforts Continue on the Island with Funding Obligations for 121 Projects
GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – FEMA and the Central Office for Recovery, Reconstruction and Resilience, or COR3, continue moving recovery forward with more than $37 million in additional funds for 121 projects approved between May 8 and 14.
As social distancing measures continue to safeguard residents, FEMA and COR3 remain focused on prioritizing obligations of funds to municipalities for eligible expenses to help communities recover from Hurricane María.

More than $1.8 Million Approved for South Carolina April 13 Storm Survivors
COLUMBIA, S.C. – Less than three weeks after the federal disaster declaration for South Carolina’s April 13 storms, more than $1.8 million in federal disaster assistance has been approved for survivors.
The funds include grants from FEMA and low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — FEMA and the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) have approved more than $1 billion in Public Assistance grants for Hurricane Michael-related recovery expenses.

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — FEMA has approved nearly $41 million for the State of Florida to reimburse seven applicants for eligible costs of debris removal, emergency protective measures and permanent repairs following Hurricane Michael.

FEMA Provides $1 Million to the Michigan State Police/Emergency Management Homeland Security Division

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A quick fix may change your decision if you applied for FEMA help following South Carolina’s April 13 storms and you disagree with your determination letter.
Everybody has a right to appeal. Read your determination letter carefully to understand FEMA’s decision and know exactly what you need to do for your appeal. Often applicants just need to submit some extra documents for FEMA to process their application.
