FEMA Provides More Than $14.6 Million to Spectrum Health System

CHICAGO - The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Michigan State Police/Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division (MSP/EMHSD) announced today that $14.6 million has been made available in federal disaster aid for critical emergency medical care in the state of Michigan.

FEMA Phasing Out Project Airbridge

WASHINGTON – Project Airbridge was created to shorten the amount of time it takes for U.S. medical supply distributors to bring personal protective equipment (PPE) and other critical medical supplies into the U.S. during the COVID-19 pandemic response. This shipment method, the focus of the acceleration effort of FEMA’s supply chain task force, was a temporary solution to expedite the transportation of commercially distributed PPE from international manufacturers to the United States.

FEMA Awards $26.8 Million Grant to Relocate West Virginia Elementary School

The State of West Virginia will receive $26.8 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to help relocate an elementary school damaged in 2016 by severe storms, floods, landslides and mudslides.

This award provides $26,851,044.60 in federal funding for the relocation of the Clendenin Elementary School, which was damaged as a result of FEMA-DR-4273-WV. This funding is being provided under authority of Section 428 of the Robert T. Stafford Act.

FEMA Grants $35.8 Million to Arizona for PPE

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) approved $35.8 million to reimburse the State of Arizona for the purchase of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and safety of state, county, and tribal personnel, healthcare facility workers, and first responders.

FEMA Consolidated Resources Center Exceeds Expectations in its First Year

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – One year after the Consolidated Resources Center, referred to as a CRC, was stood up in Puerto Rico to improve the efficiency, precision and transparency of the Public Assistance program process on the Island, 2,954 projects have been assessed and approved, for a total of $1.7 billion. Of these projects, 2,522 are for Puerto Rico’s hurricane recovery after the 2017 hurricanes.

Less Than Two Weeks Remain to Apply for Disaster Assistance

South Carolina: Spend FEMA Grant Wisely

COLUMBIA, S.C. – More than 600 South Carolina households have received FEMA grants to help them recover from the April 13 storms.

It is important to remember that the funds are to be used only for certain disaster-related expenses. FEMA may audit survivors to confirm they spent grants for basic home repairs, replacing essential household items or paying for somewhere to stay if they cannot return home.

Canton, MS – You have until 11p.m. (Central Time) tonight, Monday, June 15 to apply for disaster assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Small Business Administration.

If you experienced damage to your primary residence or property in Clarke, Covington, Grenada, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lawrence, Panola and Walthall counties due to the tornado, severe storms, straight-line winds or flooding on April 12, 2020, you may qualify for a federal grant and/or loan to help pay your storm-related expenses.
