Recovery specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the U.S. Small Business Administration will provide information on available services, explain assistance programs and help survivors complete or check the status of their applications.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Flood survivors in Yell County and surrounding areas who are rebuilding or repairing their homes after the flooding and severe storms that occurred May 21 to June 14 can get a free hazard mitigation consultation from FEMA representatives by visiting a local home improvement store.

Oklahoma City, OK – As Oklahomans rebuild and repair homes and businesses damaged by the recent storms and flooding, FEMA and Lowe’s have teamed up to provide free information, tips and literature on how to make homes stronger and safer during the rebuilding process.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Nine months after Hurricane Michael struck the Florida Panhandle, 175 survivor households have found a permanent housing solution and vacated the temporary
housing units in which they had been living.

These travel trailers and mobile homes were part of the direct housing mission the State of Florida and FEMA launched within the first month of the Oct. 10, 2018 storm in five devastated counties with scarce housing options and rental resources.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – All Community Recovery Centers will close at noon on Friday, July 19,2019 due to anticipated disruptions of transportation as a result of ongoing protests across the island. In addition, all centers will be closed on Monday, July 22.

PIERRE, SD – The State of South Dakota and the Federal Emergency Management Agency will close the disaster recovery center on the Cheyenne River Reservation at 6 p.m Mountain time Wednesday, July 24. The center is located at the Cultural Preservation Center, 98 S. Willow St., Eagle Butte. The closure comes as the center has seen a decline in visitation as area residents are moving forward in their recovery.

Little Rock, Ark. – Arkansas/FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Dardanelle (Yell County) is scheduled to close on Saturday, July 20 at 1 p.m.

Oklahoma City, OK – Two state/federal Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Creek and Payne counties will be closing Saturday, July 20. But seven mobile DRCs are opening in new locations in the coming week, starting today, July 18, to help survivors of the severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding that occurred from May 7 to June 9, 2019 in Oklahoma.

Assistance for Affected Individuals and Families Can Include as Required:

WASHINGTON – FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Texas to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms and flooding beginning June 24-25, 2019.

The President's action makes federal funding available to affected individuals in Cameron, Hidalgo, and Willacy counties. Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses, and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.
