WASHINGTON – The whole-of-America response to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic continues, as additional shipments from FEMA’s air bridge arrive to help supply critical areas and National Guard soldiers assist with community-based testing facilities and setting up alternative medical facilities.

Under the White House Coronavirus Task Force's direction, FEMA, HHS and our federal partners are working with state, local, tribal and territorial governments to execute a whole-of-America response to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and protect the public.

FEMA Disaster Grants Won’t Affect Social Security or Other Benefits

NASHVILLE – Applying for federal disaster assistance from FEMA will not affect other federal benefits that Tennessee disaster survivors may receive.

Residents in Davidson, Putnam and Wilson counties who register with FEMA may have questions about whether funds from FEMA might cause them to lose other federal payments to which they are entitled.

WASHINGTON — FEMA announced that federal emergency aid has been made available for the District of Columbia to supplement the District’s recovery efforts in the areas affected by the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic beginning on Jan. 20, 2020, and continuing.

Federal funding is also available to the District of Columbia and certain private nonprofit organizations on a cost-sharing basis for emergency protective measures (Category B), including direct federal assistance under Public Assistance, for all areas affected by COVID-19 at a federal cost share of 75 percent.
