FEMA Awards Crisis Counseling Assistance Grants

WASHINGTON - FEMA awarded grants to fund crisis counseling services for residents struggling with stress and anxiety as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training program is funded by FEMA and overseen by FEMA in coordination with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The program assists individuals and communities in recovering from the psychological effects of natural and human caused disasters through community-based outreach and educational services.

WASHINGTON – The whole-of-America response to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic continued today, as FEMA’s Region 5 Deputy Administrator visited an alternate care facility in Chicago, and National Guardsmen continued their support at a Sacramento, California, food bank and a test site in North Carolina.

FEMA continues to expedite movement of commercially pre-sourced and commercially procured critical supplies from the global market to medical distributors in various locations across the U.S. through Project Airbridge.

The President’s action makes federal funding available to affected individuals in Bradley and Hamilton counties.

FEMA makes additional $100 million available to Firefighters for COVID-19 Response

WASHINGTON – Fire service organizations nationwide with membership on the front lines in the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will soon be able to apply for a share of $100 million in funding to purchase personal protective equipment and supplies. Vital Funding Obligations Will Help Rebuild the Island’s Water Systems

FEMA Provides $36.5 Million to City And County of Denver for COVID-19 Response
