FEMA Awards Crisis Counseling Assistance Grants
WASHINGTON - FEMA awarded grants to fund crisis counseling services for residents struggling with stress and anxiety as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training program is funded by FEMA and overseen by FEMA in coordination with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The program assists individuals and communities in recovering from the psychological effects of natural and human caused disasters through community-based outreach and educational services.

President Donald J. Trump Approves Major Disaster Declaration for Tennessee
WASHINGTON — FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Tennessee to supplement state, tribal and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by severe storms, flooding, straight-line winds and tornadoes from April 12 - 13, 2020.
The President’s action makes federal funding available to affected individuals in Bradley and Hamilton counties.

FEMA makes additional $100 million available to Firefighters for COVID-19 Response
WASHINGTON – Fire service organizations nationwide with membership on the front lines in the fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic will soon be able to apply for a share of $100 million in funding to purchase personal protective equipment and supplies. The funding is part of the Coronavirus Aid Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act through FEMA Assistance for Firefighters Grant Program (AFGP).
Registration Open for February Storm Losses

Vital Funding Obligations Will Help Rebuild the Island’s Water Systems
GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico – To date, FEMA has obligated over $365 million for permanent and emergency work on 182 projects to repair and upgrade potable water and sewer systems and other water control facilities across the island. More than half of these funds are for permanent work projects.

FEMA Provides $36.5 Million to City And County of Denver for COVID-19 Response
DENVER – The Federal Emergency Management Agency has provided $36.5 million in expedited funding to the City and County of Denver for response efforts undertaken to combat spread of the coronavirus. The assistance was made available under the major disaster declaration issued March 28 by President Trump.
