FEMA Awards $1.2 Million for Ninemile Creek Mitigation Project

DENVER – FEMA has awarded a $1.2 million grant to Missoula County. The grant will fund a stream restoration project along the main stem of Ninemile Creek. This project will benefit community members by decreasing peak runoff, providing floodplain storage and increasing drought resilience. Agricultural landowners downstream will realize benefits associated with aquifer storage and increased late season flow.

FEMA Awards Fargo $3.6 Million for Mitigation Project

FEMA Assistance does not affect other Federal Assistance

Canton, MS – Persons and households in Clarke, Covington, Grenada, Jasper, Jefferson Davis, Jones, Lawrence, Panola and Walthall counties who register with FEMA may have questions about whether funds from FEMA might cause them to lose other federal payments to which they are entitled.

Applying for federal disaster assistance from FEMA will not affect other federal benefits that Mississippi disaster survivors of the April 12 tornadoes, severe storms, straight-line winds and flooding may receive.

WASHINGTON -- As of May 21, FEMA, HHS and the private sector combined have coordinated the delivery of or are shipping: 83.4 million N-95 respirators, 140.2 million surgical masks, 11.9 million face shields, 28.6 million surgical gowns and more than 1 billion gloves.

FEMA has procured and delivered 7.5 million swabs and 4 million units of media so far this month in support of the White House Task Force’s testing initiative. To date, more than 12.9 million samples have been tested.

FEMA Awards $2,025,000 Grant to the City of Marquette

CHICAGO – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has released $2,025,000 in Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) funds to the city of Marquette, Mich., for a flood mitigation project. The grant will fund the relocation of a section of Lakeshore Boulevard to mitigate erosion and flooding from Lake Superior, prevent coastal infrastructure damage and reduce public safety concerns.

Community Mitigation Decision Support Tool

The Community Mitigation decision support tool puts the data for each metric in the President’s Guidelines for Opening Up America Again in one easy-to-access place – the Gate Indicators tab and sub-tabs. Officials can easily view their influenza- and coronavirus-like illnesses, case and death data, as well as a range of information on hospital capacity to determine whether community mitigation should be adjusted. The tool also has a large variety of other data available outlined in greater detail below.

FEMA Recovery Efforts Continue on the Island with Funding Obligations for 110 Projects
